He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his children, William Wimmer (Liz) of Johnsonville and Amanda Wimmer Horne of Harrisonburg, Virginia.; and his grandchildren, Liam, Sawyer Horne, Forest, Charleston Wimmer, Blake Dyson and Princess Abbott.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Good Samaritan Hospice, Emmaus Road Community Church, or Shiloh Baptist Church.
