She was predeceased by: her husband Harold Dean Shupe; her parents, Melvin Carter and Virgie Nipper Snodgrass; her sister Geneva Snodgrass Mitchell; and her siblings-in-law, Phyllis Snodgrass, Troy Taylor and Hampton Mitchell.
She is survived by: her children, Dan Shupe (Sandra) and Dianne Buchanan (Gary) of Saltville, VA; her siblings, Norma Taylor of Saltville, VA, Donna Rickman (Oaksey) of Saltville, VA, Kim Hill (Glenn) of Saltville, VA and Kenny Snodgrass of Saltville, VA; and her grandchildren, Jessica Buchanan (Jacob Downs) of Bristol, VA and Jonathan Buchanan of Virginia Beach, VA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving family members and friends, including her church family.
