He is survived by: his wife Barbara Brookes Holmes of Tazewell, VA; his children, Edward Carl Holmes of Saltville, VA and Angela Dawn Squires (Frank) of Chilhowie, VA.; his siblings, Patricia Kestner (Melvin) of Saltville, VA, Lois Brickey of Marion, VA, Kyle Holmes (Judy) of Rich Valley, VA and Bill Holmes (Nancy) of Tannersville, VA; his grandchildren, Francisco Rodriguez and Cheyenne Pew; and his great grandchild Adara Dawn.
A committal service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Grandview Memory Gardens (38659 Gov George C. Peery Hwy, Bluefield, VA 24605).
