We are sad to announce that, on March 20, 2026, at the age of 72, Ruth Ann Surber Kondylas (Saltville, Virginia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Ruth Ann leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her mother Betty Sue Brickey; and her grandparents, Walter and Annie Brickey. She is survived by: her husband Peter Kondylas; her children, Miles Kondylas (Jenny), Lee Kondylas and Rachael Kondylas; and her grandchildren, Laeoni Doe and Luca. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Donations in Ruth's honor may be made to the Abingdon Cancer Center.
