Stephen E. DeBord Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Stephen E. DeBord of Saltville, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 6, 2025 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father William "Bill" DeBord (Kimberly Muse DeBord). He is survived by: his mother Peggy Davidson DeBord; his children, Crystal McKemy (Jimmy), Stephen DeBord, II and John DeBord; his sisters, Janie Arnold (Stanley) and Lisa Whitt (Gary); his grandchildren, Ethan Landell, Noel McKemy, Aaron DeBord and Chase McKemy; his aunts and uncles, Dolly Carter (Robert), Lilly Rishner, Susie DeBord, Phyllis Kurpias (Zach), Carolyn Davidson, Jimmy DeBord and Dan Davidson (Shirley); his caregiver Charlotte Fields; and his friend Brent Price. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Church of the Nazarene (1007 E Main St, Saltville, VA 24370). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Northfork Sportsman's Club, 129 Battleground Ave, Saltville, VA 24370, or to the Church of the Nazarene, 1007 East Main Street, Saltville, VA, in Steve's name.
