He was predeceased by: his parents, William Linwood Willis and Virginia Pearl Willis; and his brother Francis A. Willis. He is survived by: his children, Sherry Morey (Bill) and Vernon "Todd" Willis; his grandchildren, Rickey Wright, Marina Wright, Zachary Wright and Holly Willis; his great grandchildren, Bryleigh Lynn, Serenity Lynn, Sophie Anna and Mason James; and his siblings, Katherine "Kitty" Shiflett (Roger) and Kenneth "Kenny" Willis (Vicki). He is also survived by extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Faulkner Funeral Homes (15 C F Edwards Ln, Saluda, VA 23149). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the New Hope United Methodist Church (2489 E Lewis B Puller Mem Hwy, Saluda, VA 23149).
