He was predeceased by: his wife Catherine; and his children, Sheila, Karen, George, Jr. and Buddy.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Casie, Allison, Lauren and Lindsay; and his caregivers, Pam, Vickie and Cheryl. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mechanicsville Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home (8014 Lee Davis Road, Mechanicsville, Virginia 23111). A masonic service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Sandston Baptist Church (100 W Williamsburg Rd, Sandston, VA 23150).
