It is with sadness that the passing of Norma Clay Bland Carlton of Sandston, Virginia is shared. Norma passed away on August 31, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Norma will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Norma by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Norma is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Norma’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda (Tim Smith), Don Carlton, Jamie (Brian Garthright) and Julie Barnett; and her grandchildren, Branden, Tyler, Rebecca, Maggie and Jacob. She is also survived by great-grandchildren; and many cherished family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM. A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Washington Memorial Park (6217 Memorial Dr, Sandston, VA 23150).
