He is survived by: his sister Joan Bell; his children, Robbie Seay (Wendy), James "Butch" Seay, Darlene Seay-Carpenter and Jodie Munn (Chris); his grandchildren, James Seay Jr., Allison Gromovsky (Brandon), Taylor Parsons (Nick) and Austin Seay; and his great grandchildren, Luke, Joseph Seay, Declan, Finan, Cyrus Parsons, Alice and Reid Gromovsky.
