He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Graham Toney and B. Virginia Toney (Martin); and his grandson Zachary Griffin. He is survived by: his wife Wanda; his children, Crystal and Ronald; his son-in-law Norman Griffin; his grandchildren, Christopher and Suzanne; and his siblings, Jerry (Pat), Janet (Rick) and Brian. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Fairmount Christian Church (6502 Creighton Rd, Mechanicsville, VA 23111). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fairmount Christian Church's Onward Campaign (6502 Creighton Rd, Mechanicsville) or New Bridge Baptist Church's 29:11 Legacy Fund (5701 Elko Rd, Sandston).
