He was predeceased by: his parents, Hollie Lynn Burks and Mary Davis Burks. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Burks; his children, Edward Burks, Donna Brockman, Jessica Burks and Carla Crews (Timothy); and his siblings, Glenn Burks (Phyllis), Martha Burton and Debbie Burks. He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
