She was predeceased by: her mother Gina Powell Smith of Sanford, Florida. She is survived by: her son David; her nieces and nephews, Kim and Bruce Beall; her granddaughter Sarah Elizabeth Powell of Clearwater; and her sisters, Peggy Bolton of Leesburg, Virginia and Mary "Bonny" York of Abingdon, Virginia.
