She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Brown and Lena G. Brown; her husband Walter Currin, Jr.; and her son Corey. She is survived by: her children, Wendell Currin (Alberta) of Saxe, VA and Michelle Currin of Fayetteville, NC; and her sister-in-law Lorraine Brown. She is also survived by six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Viewing was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Giles-Harris Funeral Home (1304 N Main St, Chase City, VA 23924). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Piney Grove Baptist Church (4000 Roanoke Sta Rd, Randolph, VA 23962).
