He was predeceased by: his wife Dixie Lee Martin; his parents, Leslie Martin, Sr. and Eliza Evans Martin; and his siblings, Leslie Martin, Jr., Bobby Martin, Edwin Martin, Burleigh Martin, Raymond Martin and Elizabeth Donaway.
He is survived by: his sons, Richard Lee Martin II (Lorraine) of Parksley, VA and Nicholas Adrion Martin (Jaime) of Saxis, VA; his grandson Jonathan Lee Martin; and his sister Betsy Potts of Chincoteague. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
