He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin Fletcher Barnes, Jr. and Martha Rebecca Higgs Barnes; and his brother David Barnes. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Annis Barnes; his children, Christina Barnes Leonetti, Michelle Lee Evans (Bryan) and Robert Fletcher Barnes, Jr. (Angela); his siblings, Brenda Reynolds of North Carolina and Joseph Ward Barnes (Lorie); his grandsons, Bryan Preston Shreaves, Jr. and Bob; his great grandchildren, Kaylee Brie, Little Bryan, Brylee P. Shreaves and Noah Wayne Leonetti; and his close friends, Aubrey and Valerie Justice. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
