She was predeceased by: her parents, John Anderson Hazelwood and Dora Mae Hazelwood; her son Billy Lee Mills; and her sisters, Minnie Powell and Virginia Irby.
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Eugene Mills (Linda) of South Boston, Curtis Durant Mills (Cheryl) of Prospect Hill, NC and Charlotte Lynn Smith (William "Butch") of Scottsburg; her daughter-in-law Vicky Mills of Florence, SC; her siblings, Richard Hazelwood of South Boston, Sallie Powell of Roxboro, NC and Harvey Hazelwood (Kay) of Lynch Station; and her close friend Rita Smith Ball. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; a number of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
