William Haislip Obituary
In loving memory of William Haislip (Scottsville, Virginia), who departed this world on September 6, 2025 at the age of 83. William leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rennie D. Haislip, Sr. and Northy Ann Kirby Haislip; his son William "Billy" Haislip; and his siblings, Roy, Gerald, Cecil, Rennie Jr., Ed, Elsie Searcy, Effie Kirby, Mary Collins, Dorthy Pollard, Janice Thacker, Florence Melton, Margaret Diggs and Francis Baker.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah Haislip; his daughters, Elizabeth "Beth" Brookman (Dennis) and Emily Beasley (Allen); his stepchildren, Stephen Smith (Christa) and Meghan Greene (Jeremy); his sisters, Alice Bolling and Karlen Layne; and his grandchildren, Brett Haislip, Brooke Tapscott, Taylor Hollis, Carter Baird, Ashtyn Brookman and Ryllen Beasley. He is also survived by five step grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
In remembrance of Bill, we suggest that contributions be made to the Hospice of the Piedmont or to the cemetery fund at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church.
