It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Defaye Dolbear of Sedley, Virginia, who passed away on September 24, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Sam Elmore Jr.; her stepmother Aline Elmore; and her brother Tony Elmore. She is survived by: her son Zachary Jackson (Sheila); her grandchildren, Adam, Ethan, Skyler, Connor, Harmon and Olivia; her son Billy D. Jackson, Jr.; the mother of her children Tiffany Crocker; her great grandchildren, Jackson-Lee, Lil Phil, McCoy, Isiah and Riah; her sisters, Kitty Elmore Grimes, Jessee Harpe (Price) and Charlotte Hitt; Samantha, Tiffany and Phillip.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society P.O. Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741 in honor of Lucille Jackson.
