He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Franklin and Hilda Lurene Judd Printz; and his sisters, Cornelia Printz Richards and Brenda Gochenour. He is survived by: his wife Monica Foltz Printz; his sons, Charles "Chuck" Printz, Jr. (Sharon) and Shawn Printz (Michelle); his grandchildren, Tyler Printz, Trask Printz, Ashley Printz Moyer (Ashby) and Lauren Printz (Jonathan Fauviaux); and his sister Dorothy Atkins.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kyger Funeral Home - Elkton (115 Nicholson Rd, Elkton, VA 22827). A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (6433 US-340, Shenandoah, VA 22849).
