She was predeceased by: her parents, William Ashby Pyne, Sr. and Corine Clay Kent Pyne; her spouse Glenn Thomas Surface; her son Edgar Thomas Surface; and her siblings, Henry Carlton Pyne and Lena Harmon.
She is survived by: her sons, Henry Paul Surface of Winchester, VA and William Lee Surface of Shenandoah Farms, VA; and her brother William Ashby Pyne, Jr. of Winchester, VA. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
