It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred H. Burns in Shenandoah, Virginia, born in Millboro, Virginia, who passed away on January 2, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Hunter Kyle and Lila Rebecca Neff Hoover; her husband Floyd Asa Suddarth Burns; and her siblings, Earl Hunter, Charles William, Clifford Wayne Hoover, Leona Faye Hoover Chandler, Carol Jean Hoover Propst and Wilma Ruth Hoover Thrasher.

She is survived by : her children, Roger Lynn Burns (Kim) of Staunton, Brenda Kay Burns Botkin (Joe) of Staunton and Dawn Elaine Burns of Verona; her grandchildren, Suzie Burns Minor, Becky Burns, Ashley Botkin Adams, Jody Smith and Joey Botkin; her great grandchildren, Madison Botkin, Emma, Molly Smith, Lucy Adams, Daniel Switzer, Noah Botkin, Logan, Levi Smith and Carson Minor; and her close friends, Bud and Wilma Gutshall.
