He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Shuler and Irene Shuler of Shenandoah; his wife Betty Jane McCoy; and his daughter Patty Page Whitmer. He is survived by: his son Edwin Scott Shuler of Winchester; his caregiver Diane Shifflett (Danny) of Shenandoah; his grandson Bert Whitmer of Shenandoah; his son-in-law Frank Whitmer, III of Shenandoah; his great grandchildren, Hailey Shifflett, Natalie Shifflett, Justin Shifflett (Ann), Savannah Mentel (Griffin), Hannah Wood, Annah Wood and Shyannah Wood; and his great great grandchildren, Asher Shifflett, Addison Shifflett and Hazel Shifflett.
