He is survived by: his wife Margaret E. Monette; his sister Ann Monette of San Rafael, CA; his children, Lori Roach of Apex, NC, Lisa Monette of Raleigh, NC, Suzy Lindley of Williamsburg, VA, Juli Monette of Cary, NC, Andy Monette of Smithfield, VA, Michael Monette and Fair; his grandchildren, Henry, Jon Roach, Ryan Lindley, Walker and Caroline Monette; and his great grandchild Mary Grace Butler.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trinity United Methodist Church (201 Cedar St, Smithfield, VA 23430). A burial will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Luke's Memorial Park Cemetery (14477 Benns Church Blvd, Smithfield, VA 23430).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research in his honor.
