Barbara leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Barbara’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Barbara will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles John Augustus Johnson Jr. and Elizabeth Ann Orr Johnson; and her husband Donald Gene Neely. She is survived by: her sons, Blane Christlieb (Burnadette), Jeffrey A. Neely (Sheri) and Brian D. Neely (Roberta); her grandchildren, Lexie, Carter and Max; her brother Charles "Chuck" Johnson (Sara); Don. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. Lukes Memorial Park Cemetery (14477 Benns Church Blvd, Smithfield, VA 23430).
