She was predeceased by : her parents, Jabray Johnson and Hannah Ann Peck Johnson; and her siblings, Shirley Johnson, Jack Johnson and Beatrice J. Smith.

She is survived by : her husband Will Meredith Gwaltney Jr.; her children, Sandra Gwaltney Fields (Dale) and Meredith Eugene Gwaltney (Debbie); her grandchildren, Sean Laughter (Randy), Justin Laughter (Olivia), Meredith Wells (Dwayne), Kathryn Nicholas (Dan) and Sarah Touchberry (Jackson); her great grandchildren, Heidi Wells, Lily Wells and Luke Nicholas; and her sisters, Alice J. Pittman and Lucille J. Epps. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Bina was also a Bookkeeper for Surry Educational Foundation.
