He is survived by: his wife Darby Dilley Walls; his children, Jacob "Jay" Walls (Michelle Kidder-Walls), Amy Walls Gibson (Jeremy Gibson) and Benjamin "Ben" Walls (Ashley Foster Walls); his sister Katherine Walls Mountjoy; his grandchildren, Jami Kidder-Walls, Mija Kidder-Walls, Jace Kidder-Walls, Jordan Gibson, Hope Sexton, Kinsington Walls and Foster Walls; and his great grandchildren, Lincoln Kidder-Walls and Brynlee Sexton.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Little's Funeral Home and Cremation Service (1515 S Church St, Smithfield, VA 23430). A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Carrollton Baptist Church (14007 Carrollton Blvd, Carrollton, VA 23314). A reception was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Uzzell United Methodist Church Cemetery (15363 Uzzell Church Rd, Smithfield, VA 23430).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to The Gideons International to support the continued distribution of Bibles—a mission that was especially close to Fred's heart.
