She was predeceased by: her parents, Horace Batten and Lila Batten; and her nephew Kevin Batten. She is survived by: her spouse Jimmie Ridley; her sons, Corey Butler (Lily) and Jamaal Batten (Tamika); her grandchildren, Jaida, Tristan, Elijah and Isaiah; her brothers, Raymond Batten (Sharon) and Ronnie Batten; her aunt Ada Alston; her uncles, Lee Kee and Calvin Batten; and her nieces, Tori and Dominique. She is also survived by cousins and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the New Bethany Christian Church (15496 Benns Church Blvd, Smithfield, VA 23430). The inurnment was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the New Bethany Christian Church Cemetery (15496 Benns Church Blvd, Smithfield, VA 23430).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to New Bethany Christian Church in her name.
