He is survived by: his uncle Unc of James Turner, JT; his children, Paula Willis, Lisa Steward (Jessie), Ivan Diggs (Saundra) of Newport News, Virginia, Ronnie Diggs (Cynthia) of Zuni and Alexander Sam Turner of Suffolk, Virginia; his great grandchild Treyvion Bowden; his sisters, Lillian Weaver and Mildred Redmond; his siblings-in-law, Calvin Diggs, Catherine Finney and Stella Finney; his grandchildren, Shalonda, Derrell, DeKeysha, Tanisha, Richard, Miranda, Sauvora, Jaleesa, Ivan Jr., Gregory Jr., Lamont, Jada and Malik; and his godchildren, Kimberly Bailey and Michael Robertson Jr..
