It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jan Eversen (Smithfield, Virginia), who passed away on April 14, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jan Eversen to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Dieuwertje Eversen and Teunis Eversen; and his brother Barend Eversen. He is survived by : his wife Fran Eversen; his children, Michelle Eversen (Travis Harrell) and Hans (Nisha Eversen); his granddaughter Sophia; and his brothers, Gerrit, Teunis, Lester and Albert Eversen. He is also survived by his family, especially his granddaughter.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 5:30 AM to 7:30 AM and from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Norfolk Chapel (1501 Colonial Ave, Norfolk, VA 23517). A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Historic St. Lukes Church (14477 Benns Church Blvd, Smithfield, VA 23430).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Jan's name be made to the Historic St. Luke's restoration, at stlukesmuseum.org. (https://stlukesmuseum.org) The family will be receiving visitors Friday evening April 19th between 5:30 and 7:30 at H.D. Oliver Funeral Home, 1501 Colonial Ave, Norfolk, Virginia.
