Karen leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Karen’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Karen will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Wilson Downing and Ruth Ann Wood Downing; and her son Nicolas Ryan Perkins. She is survived by: her daughter Kelley Morgan Nuckols (Justin); her granddaughters, Hallie and Addison; and her sister Marsha D. Smith (Anthony).
A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Little's Funeral Home and Cremation Service (1515 S Church St, Smithfield, VA 23430).
