She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Lee Cofer and Jennie B. Delk Cofer; her husband Robert T. Newby; and her sister Cora Johnson. She is survived by: her children, Willie Ray Todd (Jacqueline Todd) and Barbetta Marche Todd; her siblings, Virginia Walker (Luther Walker), Martin Cofer Sr. and Joyce C. Jarrett; her grandchildren, Rashuan Todd (Jasmine Todd) and Jazemine Evans (Willie Evans Jr.); her great grandchild Addison Lillie Todd; and her daughter Angela S. Eley (Diana Coleman). She is also survived by cousins, nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, extended family members, treasured friends, and her beloved church family.
