He was predeceased by : his parents, Junie Gay Holloman and Walter Liggins. He is survived by : his wife Ida S. Holloman; his children, Rufus J. Holloman, Jr. (Jackie), Christopher A. Holloman (Francine) and Sabrina L. Addison (Randy); his grandchildren, Rufus III, Chris II, Precious and Adriana; and his siblings, Mae Saunders (Ernest), Rose Stewart, Cynthia King, Vern Liggins and Gary Vaughan. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Viewing was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Shivers Funeral Chapel (12749 Courthouse Hwy, Smithfield, VA 23430). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Mt Sinai Baptist Church (14165 Racetrack Rd, Ivor, VA 23866).
