It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frederick Douglas Williams of Somerset, Virginia, born in Morristown, New Jersey, who passed away on August 6, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Fred Nick Williams. He is survived by: his wife Theresa Maggie Williams; his children, Theresa W. Carter (Donald) of Orange, VA, Bridget Y. Monroe (Michael) of Fort Washington, MD, Frederica W. Mercado (Jorge) of Triangle, VA, Frederick D. Williams III of Corona, CA and Richard E. Williams of Orange, VA; and his siblings, Richard J. Williams (Karen) of Stony Point, VA and Rev. Ann S. Lawrence (Charles) of Gordonsville, VA. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
