He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ellis Snead, Jr. and Virginia "Jenny" Conner Snead; and his brother Wayne "Heavy" Snead. He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Leigh Snead of South Boston and Travis Snead (Brittany); his grandchildren, Jacie, Maddox, Grey and Kora; and his former wife Sandra Cox Smith.
