He was predeceased by: his parents, Hassie Ligon and Gracie Watts Ligon; his wife Margaret Geneva Taylor Ligon; and his son Robert W. Ligon. He is survived by: his daughter Tammy Maria Ligon of Scottsburg; his brother Alfred D. Ligon of Scottsburg; and his cousin Melissa Nortz of Richmond, VA..
