He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete Vaughan and Susie Moore Vaughan; his daughter Betty Lou Vaughan Clardy; his great grandchild Austin Phillips; and his siblings, Doris Garber, Elmer, Bobby, Junior, Charlie, Shirley and J. T. Vaughan.
He is survived by: his children, Cecil N. Vaughan, Jr. (Kathy) of South Boston, John Vaughan (Roberta) of South Boston and Cathy Doss (Mike Snead) of South Boston. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren.
