He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Hoover and Rachel Hoover; and his wife Charlotte Sue Hoover. He is survived by: his children, Heather Hoover Holt and Charles "Chad" Marion Hoover Jr. (Kristen); his stepdaughters, Cindy Samuel (Denny), Pamela Williams (Larry) and Tracie Nickell (Shane); his grandchildren, Torey-Bates Samuel Brashears, Madison Amos and Tanner Holt; his great grandchildren, Memphis and Maverick LaMotte; and his niece Vicki Guthrie (Steve). He is also survived by his three cats.
