She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie Green Whitt and Ida Ford Whitt; her husband Ernest Wilson Lewis, Sr.; her daughter Ernestine Duffey; her siblings, Rufus Whitt, William Whitt, Junior Whitt, Levi Whitt, Franklin Whitt, Talmadge Whitt, Hazel Whitt and Bobbie Lunsford; and her close friend Soxe Allgood.
She is survived by: her children, Ida Tuck (Norman), Roberta Vaughan (John), Amanda Rathbun (Aaron), Patsy Harris (Jimmy Martin), Ernest Lewis, Jr. (Christina) and Catherine Womack (Brad Walker); her son-in-law Charles Duffey, Sr.; and her sister Alma Terry. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren.
