With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hallie Patterson of South Boston, Virginia, who passed away on August 7, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Rush Young and Elizabeth Chandler Young; her husband George Robert Patterson; her son George Wesley Patterson; her sister Mary Sue Younger; and her stepson Robert Wayne Patterson.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Patterson-Griles (Tom), Charles E. Patterson (Annette) of Carthage, NC and Clifton Patterson (Tammi) of Pawleys Island, SC; her siblings, John Logan Young (Carolyn) of Halifax, Ed Young (Grace) of South Boston and Margaret Spencer of South Boston; her stepdaughter Ann Cook of Danville; and her daughter-in-law Betty Patterson of Indiana. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
