It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerome Cortland Sterns Jr. of South Boston, Virginia, who passed away on January 28, 2026, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome Cortland Sterns Sr. and Elizabeth Tate Sterns; and his brother Hugh Terrence "Terry" Sterns. He is survived by: his wife Judith Groscost Sterns; and his children, Tracey Sterns Devin, Christopher Alan Sterns and Jennifer Sterns Landreneau. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
