With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joan T. Mallonee of South Boston, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 9, 2026 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Harry Thomas and Genette Mallonee Thomas; her husband William Guy Doty; and her siblings, Frances Carolyn Thomas Chandler, John Charles "Charlie" Thomas and Jimmie Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Melissa and Maurice; her sister Margaret Thomas Morgan; her siblings-in-law, Roger Chandler (Frances Chandler), Charles Chandler, Melanie Thomas Aufenanger (Andreas Aufenanger), Melissa Morgan Dayton (Kevin Wright), John Thomas (Amanda Minger) and James "Maurice" Morgan (Lilian Morgan); her aunt Joan; her niece Melissa Dayton; and her nephew James "Maurice" Morgan. She is also survived by her nephews and nieces.
