She was predeceased by: her parents, Artie William and Beulah Carter Glass; and her sisters, Cecile G. Mills, Virginia G. Rice, Marie G. Henderson, Dorothy G. Clark and Edith G. Bradshaw.
She is survived by: her husband Garnett Herman Adkins (Popeye); and her children, David Lynn Adkins, Sr. (Phyllis), Mark Alan Adkins and Cynthia Adkins Creasey (Mark). She is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
