He is survived by: his wife Penny Averette Carpenter; his children, Roy Carpenter III (Cynde) of Florida, Richie Carpenter of Tennessee, Reginald Carpenter (Mary) of Florida, Johnny Ray Carpenter (Lori) of Madison, N. C., Randi Rebecca Carpenter of Bahama, N. C., Robert Wayne Carpenter (Victoria Goss) of Stem, N. C., April Eudy (Brandon Stone) of Creedmoor, N. C., Christopher Eudy (Melissa) of Stem, N. C. and Rowland Carpenter (Morgan) of South Boston; and his siblings, Robert Wayne Carpenter of Stem, N. C. and Debbie Carpenter-Jumalon (Bob) of Waldorf, Maryland.. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
