He is survived by: his wife Illora Rankin Chambers; his sister Prudence Mavis Chambers of South Boston, VA; his mother-in-law Mary Rankin Derr of Statesville, NC; his brother-in-law Eric Rankin (Mary) of Hickory, NC; his niece Jontae Tyshawn Buxton (Leon) of Winston-Salem, NC; his nephew Eric Rankin, II of Hickory, NC; his godson Dontre Smith of Alexandria, VA; and his great-nephews, Braylon Buxton of Winston-Salem, NC, Peyton Buxton of Winston-Salem, NC and Mason Buxton of Winston-Salem, NC. He is also survived by cousins, other relatives, friends.
