He was predeceased by: his parents, Freeman Parrish and Florence Parrish; his sister Peggy P. Vaughan; and his brother-in-law Roy B. Wright. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Watson Parrish of South Hill; his sons, Shane Parrish (Heather) of Midlothian, VA and Mark Parrish (Alana) of Cornelius, NC; his grandsons, Carson, Andrew, Brackton and Trey; his sister Sue Parrish Wright; his niece Alicia Wright Short; his nephew Rodney Scott Vaughan; and his brother-in-law Louis O. Vaughan.
