Billy leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Billy’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Murphy and Grace Lee Murphy; and his wife Joyce H. Murphy. He is survived by: his children, Audie Murphy (Nancy) of South Hill and Deborah Burch of South Hill; his brother Roger Murphy (Kitty) of Indiana; and his grandchildren, Chris Murphy (Crystal), Stacey King, Sheri House, Brad Thomason (Taylor), Stephanie Dorman (Chris) and Justin Burch (Wendy).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Crews Funeral Home (1504 N Mecklenburg Ave, South Hill, VA 23970).
