He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmo Bowers and Wilma Bowers. He is survived by: his wife Elaine L. Bowers of South Hill; his daughters, Ada Bowers of South Hill and Helen "Nici" Bowers of Richmond; his grandchildren, Nash Bowers and Sara Morton; and his sisters, Susan Bowers of Nags Head, NC and Robin Jones of Palmer Springs.
