He was predeceased by: his parents, Coolidge Wells and Mary Newman Wells. He is survived by: his wife Darlene Harris Wells of South Hill; his siblings, Mike Wells (Pam), Walter Wells (Nancy) and Mary Jane Crowder; his children, Russell Mark Wells (Angela), Brian Keith Wells, Jeremy Ellington (Jennifer), Jennifer Benson (Nick) and Erica Meadows (Jerry); and his grandchildren, Skylar, Colby Wells, Kayla Roethlisberger (Josh), Brandon Wells, Derrick Blackwell (Nicolette), Gabriel Benson, Eryn Meadows, Emma Meadows, Jordyn Meadows, Ava Ellington and Leah Ellington. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lake Country SPCA in Clarksville, VA, or the Mecklenburg County Cancer Association.
