He is survived by: his daughters, Keisha Deanes (Terrance) of Chesterfield and Alesha Journette (Greg) of Henrico, Virginia; his goddaughters, Rochelle Lewis (Chris) of Georgia, Eboni Gilliam and Amya Gilliam (RuChanda) of Chesterfield, Virginia; his grandson Justin Journette; his siblings, Mozell Payton (Renee) of California, Preston Payton of Petersburg, Virginia, Wanda Simmons (Melvin) of Richmond and Estelle Payton of Petersburg, Virginia; his siblings-in-law, James Evans, Jr. (Velois) of South Chesterfield, Michael Evans (Margaret) of Chesterfield, Virginia, Phyllis Jones (John) of South Chesterfield, Margaret Mason (James) of Chesterfield, Bessie Evans of Petersburg, Virginia. and Novella Ann Payton of Petersburg, Virginia.; his niece LaTrezure Evans; and his friends, Carroll, Alice Collier, Julia Gilliam, Al Jones, James Brown, Butch, Rio, Paulette Belle and Hilda Lifsey.
