He was predeceased by: his father Frank Wilbert; his brothers, Willie Lee Moore, James Moore, John Moore and Barnie Moore; and his siblings-in-law, Rev. Michael Scott, Rev. Clarence B. Diggs, Shirley Moore, Muriel Moore and Mary Ruth Moore.
He is survived by: his wife Ermitrude Moore; his daughter Melanie Thompson; his granddaughter Mishanda McFarlane; his great grandchild Miyah McFarlane of Prince George, VA; his stepgrandsons, Blake and Matthew Thompson; his stepgreat-granddaughter Charleigh Thompson; his siblings, Ernest "Mut" Moore of Jarratt, VA and Mamie "Boote" Diggs of Honeybrook, PA; and his sisters-in-law, Mildred Radcliff (Peter, Sr.) of Petersburg, VA, Louise Moore of Edgewood, MD, Katie Ray of Bear, DE and Linda Moore of Washington, DC. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, extended family, friends, and devoted neighbors.
***David was also a very clever man, including in his transition during COVID; with that in mind, we are honoring his wishes not to have a public viewing or a home going service.
